چکیده

Caesalpinia bonduc (L.) Roxb. is a medicinal plant belonging to the family Caesalpiniaceae was used for present study. It prickly shrub widely distributed all over world. Keeping economic and social uses of C. seeds are being in Folk, Ayurvedha, Siddha, Unani medicines treat skin disease, eyesores, cancer, asthma, tuberculorosis, fever, toothaches etc. The aim this study determine requirements breaking seed dormancy germination bonduc. prevented due hard coat. were experimented with various physical chemical treatments break dormancy. subjected like mechanical scarification, dry heat method, light, hot water, acid inorganic compounds, growth regulators treatment scarification at 50, 40 30 seconds showed 100%, 80% 10% germination, whereas no changes observed heat. White light 100% 48 hrs, darkness red least about 10%. hot-water germination. In treatments, concentrated sulphuric highest percentage, lowest found nitric acid.
